Each four week session requires preregistration.

Lyra II - Advanced Beginner Lyra - 60mins

Class Overview:

For students ready to progress, this class builds on the basics. You’ll work on more advanced skills, including new transitions and tricks, with a focus on refining your technique and pushing your strength and creativity.

The class is capped at eight students. Instructor approval is required for Lyra II.

Open to students ages 16+

Lyra I - Beginner Lyra - 60 mins

Class Overview:

For those new to Lyra, you'll focus on building foundational skills like strength, flexibility, and basic techniques such as inversions, rolls, and spins. Classes begin with a warm-up to prepare your body for the apparatus.

This class is capped at six students and is appropriate for the ‘new to Lyra’ beginner student.

Open to students ages 16+

Intro to Aerial Arts - Single Class* - 50 mins

SELECT Tuesdays 6-7pm w/ Melissa

Not sure which apparatus you’ll enjoy most? This class lets you try them all, helping hesitant students discover what feels right for them.
Designed for every body, this class is for the student new to the gym and new to aerial arts. Explore the basics of aerial silks, trapeze, lyra, and hammock in a safe and encouraging environment introducing you to all the aerial equipment available here at SC&F.

Preregistration is required to attend this class. Check our online calendar for the next booking opportunity.

SPECIAL SUMMER SESSION OFFERING:

Intro to Aerial Arts 4 Week Summer Series - 60 mins

This series is perfect for beginners, those returning to aerial arts, or anyone interested in discovering which apparatus they enjoy most.

Class Overview:

Curious about aerial arts but not sure where to start? This 4-week introductory series is designed to help you safely explore the fundamentals of aerial silks, trapeze, lyra, and hammock in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Over the course of four 60-minute classes, students will build familiarity, strength, coordination, flexibility, and confidence while learning foundational skills both on and off the apparatus. Each class begins with an energizing warm-up to prepare the body for movement in the air, followed by guided instruction on a variety of aerial equipment.
Through progressive skill development and hands-on experience across multiple disciplines, students will gain a strong foundation for continued aerial training.

In a supportive, fun environment, you’ll learn the basics like climbing, inverting, locks, and spins. The class begins with a dynamic warm-up to get you prepared for movement.

This 60-minute class is designed for the experienced beginner/intermediate student.

Level up your skills in aerial silks, focusing on building strength, control, and flexibility. In a supportive, fun environment, you’ll continue to expand on the basics while exploring new movements and fun combinations.

With a small class size of six students, you'll receive personalized instruction to help you progress confidently.

Hammock I - Beginner Hammock - 60mins

Explore the exciting world of Aerial hammock/sling!

Aerial hammock is a unique aerial discipline which combines elements of both aerial silks and the bar apparatus. Hammocks are made of the same materials as the silks but are in a large loop allowing the artist to wrap, spin, invert and more.

This class has the potential to help you improve your overall strength, flexibility, balance and well being. Each class begins with a warm up, then students will allow time for instruction and take turns on and off the apparatus practicing the skills and flows brought by your lead coach.

This is an introductory skills class and is suitable for beginner students and anybody interested in trying out aerial arts.

This class is capped at six students ages 16+

Karen Massengill on Silks

Open Fly - Self-Guided Training - 60 mins

For experienced aerialists ready to train independently, Open Fly provides a self-directed space to practice your act or workout. Instructor approval is required prior to attendance, ensuring safety and skill level. You may also use this time to demonstrate essential skills for instructor sign-off. No coaching assistance is provided during this session, so participants must stick to skills within their own ability level. Open to adults 18+ and teens 13-17 with instructor permission.

Please be sure to show up on time for your Open Fly session. Open Fly will close after 15 minutes without any attendance.

  • If a class is not full, a drop in is welcome at a non member rate of $50 and a member rate of $45, please call the front desk to purchase a drop in.

Class Series Guidelines:

  • 4-Week Class Series: Each session runs for four consecutive weeks.

  • Series Schedule: Classes follow a set schedule each week, and attendance is expected for the full series.

  • No Make-ups: There are no make-up classes, except in the event that the instructor needs to cancel a class. However, students may exchange their missed class for an extra Open Fly pass.

Open Fly Passes: Every 4-week series includes 2 additional open fly passes, allowing students to practice independently outside of class time. Additional Open Fly passes do not roll over into the next series calendar. Please check with your instructor to be sure you are ready for independent practice.
